Valley Dawn vs Forest Floor: Original Puffy Blanket Prints

The real difference is the print, not the build

The Original Puffy Blanket in Valley Dawn and the Original Puffy Blanket in Forest Floor share the same core design: Rumpl's most iconic silhouette, built for outdoor recreation and described as durable, packable, and warm. Both come in a 1-Person size and include the same functional details—a durable VersaWeave shell for debris and weather resistance, corner staking loops, and a hands-free Cape Clip. So your decision comes down to which print you want to look at, and whether the current price difference matters to you.

That said, the prints tell different stories. Valley Dawn is an abstract blend of soft pinks, browns, and purples reminiscent of a sunrise over desert hills. Forest Floor is designed for slow roamers and stump sitters, capturing the quiet, unnoticed beauty of the forest's lively floor. Neither is more 'outdoorsy' than the other—they just set a different mood.

Price: a small gap that may not last

At the time of writing, Valley Dawn is listed at USD 69.97 and Forest Floor at USD 71.96, both against a USD 99.95 comparison price. That's a difference of less than three dollars—unlikely to be the deciding factor for most buyers. If you're genuinely torn between the two prints, pick the one you'd want to see on your couch or campsite, not the one that saves a couple of dollars.

Which print suits your camping style?

If your outings lean toward open desert, beach sunrises, or you simply like a warmer, more colorful blanket, Valley Dawn is the natural pick. Its pinks and browns read as a sunrise and add a bit of brightness to a camp chair or van interior. If you camp in forests, prefer muted earthy tones, or want a blanket that disappears into a woodland backdrop, Forest Floor fits that setting better. Neither choice affects warmth or packability—those are identical across the two.

Limitations to keep in mind

• Size options: The supplied records list only a 1-Person variant for both prints. If you need a larger size, check the current product page for other options before ordering.
• Care instructions: The supplied information does not include specific washing or drying instructions for these prints. Follow the care label on the blanket when it arrives.
• Color accuracy: Prints can look different on screen than in person. Valley Dawn's pinks and purples may appear softer or more saturated depending on lighting.

The bottom line

Choose Valley Dawn if you want a sunrise-inspired palette and the lowest current price. Choose Forest Floor if the forest-floor theme speaks to you and you don't mind paying a couple of dollars more. Both are the same proven Original Puffy Blanket underneath, so you're really just picking the view.
